Product Description
Acid Etched glass, also known as frosted glass, opaque glass, etched glass or anti-fingerprint glass, is made by using transparent float glass or low iron float glass as the base plate. After cleaning and drying, on the production line, during the rolling process, a layer of mixed acid solution mainly composed of hydrofluoric acid is sprayed onto the surface of the glass through a special device. Through the corrosion effect of the acid, a hazy and smooth effect is formed on the surface of the glass. Then, further surface polishing is carried out, and finally, fingerprint-free frosted glass is formed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the quality of your acid etched glass certified?
Our products undergo rigorous testing and are certified by international standards including CE and SGCC. We ensure every batch meets high-quality durability and finish requirements.
Is acid etched glass easy to maintain?
Yes, our acid-etched glass features anti-fingerprint properties. The smooth, hazy surface is resistant to smudges and can be easily cleaned with standard non-abrasive glass cleaners.
What are the primary applications for this glass?
It is widely used for interior partitions, office enclosures, furniture (such as table tops or cabinet doors), shower doors, and architectural windows where privacy and light diffusion are required.
Can you provide custom sizes and colors?
Absolutely. While we offer standard sizes like 1830*2440mm, we can provide custom cutting and colors including low iron, bronze, grey, blue, and green to meet your specific project needs.
How do you ensure safe delivery for large glass orders?
We use heavy-duty professional wooden crates for all shipments. The glass is securely packed with protective layers to prevent scratches and breakage during sea or land transportation.
What is the difference between acid etched and sandblasted glass?
Acid etching creates a smoother, more translucent finish that is easier to clean and more resistant to fingerprints compared to the rougher surface of sandblasted glass.
