✨ Product Description
Insulating glass, also called insulated glass, are sealed units. It refers to two or more lites of glass glazed along the edges with spacers. The composed glass could be monolithic, or laminated glass, with or without coatings (low e coating as typical). There are types of spacers available, such as stainless steel, aluminum, warm edge spacers in various colors. The space between the glass is sometimes filled with noble gas, such as argon or krypton. 90% filled, which is more helpful to reduce energy consuming. The most common architectural insulating glass unit configuration is 1/4" glass, 1/2" air space and 1/4" glass.
Commonly referred to as an "IGU," insulating glass is the most effective way to reduce air-to-air heat transfer through the glazing. When used in conjunction with low-E or reflective glass coatings, IGUs become an effective means to save energy.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Insulating Glass (IGU)?
Insulating glass consists of two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed at the edges to create a dead air space between them, providing excellent thermal insulation.
2. What are the common thickness options for double glazed units?
Common combinations include 5mm+6A+5mm, 6mm+12A+6mm, and 6mm+16A+6mm. However, thicknesses can range from 3mm to 19mm depending on structural requirements.
3. What types of gases are used for filling the gap?
The units can be filled with standard Air, or noble gases like Argon and Krypton (90% fill rate) to further enhance energy efficiency and reduce heat transfer.
4. Can I customize the shape and size of the glass?
Yes, we support custom sizes up to 18000mm in length and various shapes including rectangular, round, oval, trapezoid, and other irregular designs.
5. What is the typical lead time for an order?
The lead time is generally between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the processing and the total order quantity.
6. What edge treatments are available?
We provide various edge processing options including flat polished edges, seamed edges, bevelled edges, and round edges to ensure safety and aesthetics.
