Product Description
High Quality Clear / Tinted / Flat / Bent / Shaped Design Safety Glass
Description of Toughened Glass
Tempered glass is a type of glass with evenly distributed compressive stresses on the surface which is made by heating float glass to nearly softening point and then cooling it down rapidly by air. This process improves the glass exterior compressive stress and interior tensile stress resistance, resulting in excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability.
Advantages
- Superior Hardness: 5 times harder than ordinary float glass.
- Excellent Performance: Outstanding mechanical strength and safety performance.
- High Security: If breakage occurs, the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments, which are relatively harmless to the human body.
- Customization: Sizes are produced per customer request. Note: once tempered, it cannot be cut down.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between tempered glass and ordinary glass?
Tempered glass is approximately 5 times stronger than standard float glass and is designed to break into small, blunt fragments for safety.
Can tempered glass be cut to a different size after it is processed?
No, tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or shaped once the tempering process is complete. All customizations must be done before heating.
What thicknesses are available for flat tempered glass?
We offer a wide range of thicknesses from 3mm up to 19mm to suit various architectural and furniture needs.
Is the glass resistant to thermal stress?
Yes, the rapid cooling process used in production gives the glass excellent thermal stability compared to annealed glass.
How is the glass protected during transport?
All glass is packed in professional wooden crates with paper interlayers to prevent scratching and breakage during transit.
What certifications does the glass meet?
Our products meet international standards including CE, CCC, and ISO certifications, ensuring A-grade quality.
