What is Laminated Glass?
Laminated glass is a kind of high-grade safety glass formed after adhesive materials [PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) or EVA interlayer etc.] and SGP film are put between two or more pieces of glass to stick together under high temperature and pressure.
It is commonly used as a safety glass where security and injury are concerns. The glass remains stuck to the interlayer even when shattered, creating a 'spider web' effect. It is virtually indistinguishable from ordinary glass in appearance.
Key Features
- Security: Provides effective defense against malicious destruction and violent invasion.
- Natural Protection: Suitable for regions subject to hurricanes and earthquakes as fragments retain their position.
- Noise Reduction: PVB membrane effectively reduces noise transmission through sound wave hindering.
Available Sizes & Processing
Common configurations include: 5mm+0.76pvb+5mm+12A+5mm, 5mm+1.14pvb+5mm+12A+5mm, and low-e options. We can produce customized sizes as per request.
Technical Advantages
1. Sound Insulation
PVB film reduces noise by lowering sound amplitude, making it ideal for buildings near high-traffic roads.
2. UV Filtering
Filtering performance can reach up to 99%, protecting furniture and textiles from aging and fading.
3. Energy Efficiency
Effectively reduces sunlight transmission and blocks heat, with various transmittance levels available (50%-70%).
